Abstract
Taiwan red cypress, Taiwania and Taiwan Incense Cedar are the precious plantations species in Taiwan, and the major conifer plantations also. It’s an important issue to adjust the stand density and increase the intermediate income by thinning operations. The carbon sequestration can be promoted by thinning also. And it is a silvicultural strategy to adapt the climate change. The Deep learning technique of artificial intelligence will be applied to predict the stand growth for this study and establish the platform of thinning programming for the above two tree species. The cost-benefit analysis will be carried out also to provide the reference of thinning planning for the forest formers and related management units.
