Abstract
Research on Forest Ecosystem Service Function and Valuation(3/3): In the August of 2009, Duona forest road was seriously destroyed by Morakot typhoon. This study aims to investigate floristic composition and structure of landslides in the Duona Hot Spring Stream Watershed for establishing successional pathway of forest ecosystem. For accelerating nature succession of landslides, seedlings of shade-tolerant trees were selected to plant in landslides with different light degree. We also try to find new methods of planting in landslides and promote the survival rate of plants. Research on forest certification and mechanism of payments for ecosystem services(3/3): Previous studies found that for different plans, forest farmers willingly accepted the highest price as the lowest compensation price. One of the reasons may be that it reflects the cost of afforestation implementation and the risks that may be encountered are really high. The other reason could be the closed design of the questionnaire, so that the respondents tend to choose the highest price as the lowest compensation price. The study will investigate the actual implementation cost of each afforestation plan to determine a reasonable minimum compensation price.
