  • Date of declaration:2011-12-28

Video Introduction
The Formosan blue magpies (Urocissa caerulea Gould) are commonly called long-tailed mountain ladies in Taiwan. Few people are not moved by a sudden encounter with this beautiful bird when walking a forest trail. The idea to shot a documentary for them is inspired by this delightful experience. The movie intends to be a truthful record of the Formosan blue magpies so that more inhabitants of Taiwan can recognize and appreciate them. Many people do not realize that this beautiful bird can only be found in Taiwan. If they ever disappear from here, then there’ll probably no more such bird in the entire world.
