執行成果摘要
The project is dedicated to doing a research of breeding program of Cunninghamia konishii, Calocedrus formosana, Taiwania cryptomerioides , Zelkova serrata , Acacia confusa and Eucalyptus spp.. At first, we will select plus trees from the results of half-sib progeny tests in forestry as well as propagate them usinggrafting and air-layering. The silviculture system of high carbon-sequestration tree species involves the planting and management of trees with the goal of maximizing carbon sequestration while maintaining the ecological health of the forest. The selection of appropriate tree species is crucial in this system. Fast-growing species that are well-adapted to local environmental conditions are typically selected in high carbon-sequestration projects. Some examples of tree species that are commonly used in high carbon-sequestration silviculture systems include Cunninghamia konishii, Calocedrus formosana, Taiwania cryptomerioides and Zelkova serrata , Acacia confusa and Eucalyptus spp. .Overall, the silviculture system of high carbon-sequestration tree species involves species selection, and management practices aimed at maximizing carbon sequestration while maintaining the ecological health of the forest.
