Abstract
At present, Taiwan produces about 700,000 metric tons of forestry surplus materials and 2.063 million tons of pineapples, fake stems and leaves of banana plants, and leaves of pineapple plants each year, of which more than 60% are directly burned, composted or buried in situ for low-value processing, the reuse rate is only about 5%. Therefore, the industry pays little attention to the high-value utilization of agricultural and forestry surplus materials. The reasons are key issues such as technology, manufacturing process, and cost. This project intends to use the above-mentioned agricultural and forestry surplus materials and use fiber biomass refining and separation technology to effectively solve the problems of public grievances, environmental protection, ecology, and resource waste caused by the unreasonable use of agricultural and forestry surplus materials, respectively. But now refining fibrous biomass separation technique, there is a low yield and high cost. Therefore, this study was to work together with Ilan University, National Chung-Hsing University and related companies, departments and units to research and development of new high-value fiber separation technology biomass refining to the lignocellulosic materials to separate the cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin. Quality and other raw materials are reused to apply these three components to various industries to increase the economic value of remanufactured forestry surplus materials and achieve the purpose of diversified development and utilization of products.
