Abstract
The project to make timber specimens of TFRI.in digitization, this study, first will make native timber specimens in common in Taiwan.Currently domestic wood self-sufficiency rate was less 1%, more than 99% of wood relied on imports. Due to many species, identification not easy, wood property unknown, commercial wood cause the difficulties of processing industry in the utilization. Therefore, this project proposes further study and research the anatomy, physical and chemical properties of major domestic commercial wood. For domestic wood processing industry and research units referencing, the database of commercial wood will be created.
