Abstract
Flora is the most important reference to understand the plant resources of a country or region. During 1975–2003, two versions of Flora of Taiwan have been published. The publication is a very relevant milestone of plant taxonomy. However, new taxa have been continuously found. It is necessary to compile those new information. Electronic flora, compared to paper flora, have the advantages of unlimited extension of data. New message is able to be updated immediately as well. In addition, there is no paper consuming for e-flora. The interactive key, which is an important element of e-flora, also provides a more convenient speciesidentified tool. This program focuses on flora of woody plants and ferns in Taiwan, including their interactive key and revision and supplement that were not included in the previous publications. It aims to provide an updated fern and woody plant flora of Taiwan and a convenient tool for people and researchers to use on line.
