Abstract
一、The area of paddy fields is more than one third of the farm area in Taiwan. Paddy fields are one of the ecosystems on earth which have high biodiversity. The organic farming is proved to have higher biodiversity than the non-organic farming. The study will focus on the biodiversity of the paddy fields. The main purposes of the study are: (1) to obtain the species as the environmental-friendly indicators, (2) to provide management suggestions to maintain biodiversity on paddy lands, (3) to increase the value on ecological services provided by paddy fields, (4) to raise the price of the organic rice and the farmer’s income, (5) to enhance environmental-friendly conscious of farmers and the public.
