Abstract
The project is intended to apply the new type of injection technology to control Bursaphelenchus xylophilus in the infected pine trees. It will be evaluated the control effect of the given prophylactic injections between uninfected pine trees and infected pine trees. In addition to the establishment of the mornitoring techniques of the bark beetles, the project also focuses on the systematic taxonomy and biology of Taiwanese native bark beetles, risk assessment and integrated control techniques for the important bark beetles.
