Abstract
一、The purpose of this study is to collect data for major economic bamboo shoots to level up the technique of produce. In otherwise, we also investigate the natural distribution for economic bamboos, and set up plots to monitor the growth and aboveground biomass for Phyllostachy pubenscens . Moreover, the assessment of bamboo forest for growing characteristics is also carried out in this study.
二、Bamboo is an important natural resouces in Taiwan. Untill 1999, approximatrely bamoo occupy 7.11% of the total forest land in Taiwan. There are five important economic bamboo species in Taiwan including Dendrocalamus latiflorus, Phyllostachys makinoi, Bambusa oldhami, Phyllostachys pubescens, and Bamausa stenostachya. Due to its multiple utilization, bamboo is quite favorable bt people. The purpose of this project is to investigate the major marketing alternatives of the suppliers of four economic bamboo markets at three zones in Taiwan; analyze the economic benefits from bamboo forest management. The results of studying is expected to provide the agency for the reference during the making production and sale planning.
