Abstract
Some basic instrument of the ecological sensor network and hardware of this project were installed this year, including two Hadoop storage servers and the hard driver of the system application program server was increased to intensify the system’s steadiness. In addition, soil temperature-humidity meters were also installed at two meteorological observation points at Lien-Hwa-Chih. These additionally collected meteorological data were helpful in researching the basic information of the ecological, environmental factors. More than 200,000 data were collected from all the sensor points set up in these years, stored in the JSON or CSV format, and open to the public. These data included the photos of the Lotus Pond, the photos of the flowers and the phonological survey data of the floral calendar plants, the record file of frog audioscape, the identified record file of frog calls, the photos of M. kanehirai , the pictures and video files of wild animals, and meteorological data. In addition, many functions of the Ecological Sensor Display Platform were modified and intensified. For education and extension purposes, three extension articles, a brochure named “Flowers are blooming-Diary of the flowers in Taipei Botanical Garden”, and learning cards of the “Magic Babies of the Mother Nature” were published. Furthermore, four extension training activities were held this year.
