Abstract
Protection and programmed application of trees have become the prerequisite to human society for sustainable development. Based on these needs, Taiwan Forestry R search Institute (TFRI) has organized an unprecedented “Center for Trees Arboriculture (CTA)” so as to consolidate safety of our forest health, environmental protection and public health. In order to prevent forest trees from disease and insect impacts, conduct curative measures for diseased precious trees, or to develop and utilize useful tree resources, it is important to establish related techniques and increase analysis efficiency. Although there are many tree protection professionals and technologies, the studies on all aspects of tree health technologies and resources need urgent integration to enable professional tree health diagnoses, resource development, analysis efficiency improvement and training of related professionals. In this project, we plan to purchase Inverted Fluorescence Microscope, Sap Flow Sensor, Strain Transducer and Sensor, CTC Automatic Servo System, Vacuum Cleaner and pipe arrangement for sawdust and dust, and medium-sized Table Top Concentrator. Then our group will establish related detection and analysis techniques and procedures so as to acquire scientific diagnosis data for tree health, to analyze and develop tree resources and components of trees, to strengthen health control and raise operation efficiency. It will contribute to maintain urban greening, promote resource application, develop industry, and heave country's vitality.
