Abstract
After production of tea oil, the pomace of the tea seed was a kind of waste. The pomace was extracted with an appropriate amount of methanol, the filtrate was concentrated to get crude extract. The extract was evaporated under vacuum and concentrated in a rotary evaporator to a residue. The residue was suspended in H2O and partitioned successively with EtOAc and n-BuOH to yield EtOAc, n-BuOH, and H2O soluble fractions. The fractions were evaluated anti-inflammatory activity. At the same time, the BuOH fraction was further isolated to identify the chemical constituents. In this plan, we already obtained the extraction ratio of residue from pomace by methanol, as well as the extraction ratio of crude extract and fractions. The ratio data may be used as quality control of follow-up. We also isolated two major chemical composition and identified the structures.
