Abstract
This year we investigated the growth of ma bamboo (Dendrocalamus latiflorus) in an abandoned condition and compared the growth and biomass in different nursery ways. Results indicate that the average of diameter at breast height (DBH) is 6.9 ± 2.6 cm, the age is 2.9 ± 1.4, the height is 12.4 ± 3.5 m, and the under branch height is 1.13 ± 0.02 m in an abandoned condition of ma bamboo forests. Then we planted the ma bamboo seeding by cleft grafting and air layering. The DBH is 2.69 ± 0.32 cm, the height is 4.90± 0.60 m and the under branch height is 1.13 ± 0.02 m of the ma bamboo seeding in cleft grafting plot, it is bigger and growth faster than the DBH is 1.34 ± 0.28 cm and the height is 0.91 ± 0.34 m of the ma bamboo seeding in air layering plot. The standard operating procedures to produce ma bamboo shoots is intensive management. The production management processes and marketing records in practical application is complete for ma bamboo shoots intensive management. But the source records of health ma bamboo seeding is not complete, so it is important to build the health ma bamboo seeding nursery system, the way and process is description in this article.
