In response to Climate change has been recognized unprecedented challenges around the world. Forests absorb and fixed carbon dioxide in the atmosphere by photosynthesis of, and therefore the absorption of atmospheric carbon dioxide sinks; through afforestation and forest management can increase the absorption and storage of carbon dioxide, so forests in climate change adaptation system plays a key role. This study uses the forestry census data and a questionnaire to investigate characteristics of private forest landowners, their awareness of climate change issues, hazards of forest, forest adaption measures, and their willingness to participate in adaption measures. The study also analysis factors affecting the attitudes and willingness of private forest owners toward climate change issues.
