一、This year, we investigated the green bamboo cultiviation area and green bamboo shoots market channel through farm organizations on towns which were ranked to be top abundant in green bamboo in Taipe City, New Taipei, and Toayou County. We also interviewed bamboo farmers to understand farmers's daily acvivities in taking care and producing bamoo shoots. Market channel on green bammbo in Northern Taiwan Area depends on the location of production sites. For those sites close to metropolitan area, most bamboo shoots are directly delivered to local markets. However, for others far away from metropolitan areaern, most bamboo shoots are collected first and then transported to Taipei Food Market to sell.
