執行成果摘要
Cinnamomum kanehirae is one of the broadleaf tree species with first class of wood quality. The log is the source to cultivate valuable Androdia cimmamomea fruit. Biotech compamies invested forestation of this trees to obtain logs sustainable. There have 9 clones from tissue cultures were planted at 8 sites. Morphological characters and performance in field test varied a lot. It’s required identification of characters of characters to verify these varieties for sure a good growth performance in the plantations. This project try to propagate readily infected and health trees by tissue cultures and cuttings to support both industries of A. cimmamomea of A. cinamomea fruit and wood. This year, growth characters of wild trees grown at Shashankung, Lieukuei, and Taimali were investing, and 13 ramets rooting cuttings collected from 13 wild trees collected at Shashankung were obtained. Cultures derived from buds of 5 wild trees with Androdia cimmamomea fruit occurred were established in vitro. Total of 3380 stecklings from superior clones was raised in the Taipei nursery. These clones were selected based on the clonal test at Taimali and Lianhachi. Ten clones were planted at Shoufen, Hualien and grew 38±5.2 cm tall with 85±9.1% of survival rate after been planted for 3 months. The growth of Androdia cimmamomea on various weighted logs harvested from different clonal trees was investigated. Distinguishable morphological characters of 5 superior clones, including in vitro shoots, plantlets, and potted plants, were established, and announced as valuable races for technology transfer.
