執行成果摘要
This year we collected plants of 5 chemical races of Cinnamomum osmphloeum and 4 races of Taxus sumatrana and potted them for investigate the different characters among races. Both C. osmophloeum ct. cinnamon and ct. linalool are economical potential races for using bactericide, antidiabetics, decreasing serum uric acid, reducing anxiety, and to be a good perfume. We selected a race named as TM for producing >80% cinnamaldehyde, and the other race LL for producing 99% linalool, both which were distilled from winter leaves. They are difficult to distinguish by tree form and mature leaves, but could separate them from young leaves and flower spikes. There have 6 chemical types of C. osmophloeum, camphor type T1 flowered this year. We have succeeded to distinguish these 3 chemical types. Based on these investigation, we draw a guideline for new varieties of C. osmophloeum. New variety of T. sumatrana “Taiyew No. 2” was applied on April this year, and obtained variety certification on 25 November. A third new variety Taiyew No. 3 was licensed to a biotech company in August. A DUS guide was finished to distinguish from Taiyew No. 1 and 2.
