Wood is a kind of good interior decorative materials, it has low thermal conductivity, poor heat transferring ability, and good thermal insulation performance. Using wood pannels as interior materials will reduce energy consumation, so as to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. The purpose of this study was to investigate the thermal insulation performance of different materials by ASTM C-1363 hotbox method, the study was also to invastigate the condition effects on temperature and humidity of living environment. Results show that the temperature conditioning efficiency(TCE) of wood-decorated room is about 0.54, TCE of non-decorated room is higher than wood-decorated room, indicated thatusing wood composite walls as interior decorative materials will help the temperature conditioning.
