執行成果摘要
The objective of this study was to combine the waste wood fibers and biodegradable plastics, Poly Lactic Acid (PLA), to develop new biocomposite materials. The ratio of wood fibers in the bio-composite materials was set to 15%, 20% and 25%, in order to make 3 different types of bio-composite materials. The study also test characteristics of the new bio-composite materials, including gravity, moisture content, bending strength, tensile strength, heat distortion temperature, to enveluate their feasibilitiy of use on slopeland protection and to exploit a new using of waste wood fibers. Results shows that all 3-types of bio-composite materials are suitable for slopeland protection. After 180 days of bio-decomposition test, the average decomposition rate of all bio-composite materials was 1.24% and the tensile strength decreased about 0.37%. According the test results, it could be expect that the service life of the bio-composite materials will longer than 2 years, All the 3 type of bio-composite materials could be used for slopeland protection.
