執行成果摘要
The objectives of this project were to investigate and collect scions of plus trees in Zelkova serrata, Michelia compressa and Cinnamonum camphora for grafting, and to test seed storability in temperatures 5℃, below 0℃ and in liquid nitrogen (-196℃). The current year we investigated and collected 6 plus trees of Z. serrata, 2 plus trees of M. compressa, 4 plus trees of C. camphora, and these scions were grafted. The successful grafts of Z. serrata were planted to experimental site in Liouguei Research Center. In seed storability test, M. compressa seeds could be stored at temperatures below 0℃ and -196℃; Z. serrata seeds failed to store at temperatures below 0℃ and -196℃, but could be stored at 5℃;C. camphora seeds can be stratified at 5℃ for one year only, and the dried camphor seeds could be stored at 5℃ and liquid nitrogen for one year because seeds deterioration occurred.
