There are 40 cross and back cross combinations of F2 and F3 hybrids were accomplished in 2013.The seedlings were all planted at Dafu site, Hualian County. Besides, we also accomplished 11 hybrids in total between F1 hybrids and Y32, Y34 in respective. The micropropogated F1 hybrids and seedlings were blossom and fruited all the way along the growing season from May to November but the fruiting was not in expectation. There are some F2 hybrids which acquired from the crossing between ♀ Jatropha curcas and ♂ F1 hybrid obtained a well fruiting than the F1 hybrid. Although the F2 acquired the short(shrubby) and earlyer flowering characters but the seed fertilization might have to improve through a further crossing or backcrossing. The multi-culture for F2B and F2E by tissue culture is undertaken for the field planting next year in order to monitor its growth and seeding performance.
