In 2013,the primary results of the oil-tea Camellia study are shown as follows:
1.We selected 59 superior trees and measured their economic traits, in order for breeding in the future.
2.The seeds of oil-tea Camellia are intolerant of low moisture content that might be belong to temperate recalcitrant.
3.The antioxidant capacity of the bacteriostasis of extract from the leaves of oil-tea Camellia(Camellia brevistyla) are different among strains.
4.The camellia oil quality can be improved and become oxidatively more stable with adequate roasting treatments.
5.We had chosen two sites for participatory research with farmers, to find and breed local varieties, and to have studies on cultivation and management.
