Abstract
Since the Morakot typhoon, the wireless sensor network which had been built last year was destroyed completely. We have rebuilt the wireless sensor network that included infrastructure, wireless networks, and authentic recording equipments and storages. On choosing of sensor monitoring sites, we deeply considered the environment to avoid the weather damage on equipments. In addition, the data warehousing space has increased, and the data has backup in TFRI computer center. Base on data sharing, we set up an ecological sensor network data searching website that allows researchers to query real-time data. Besides, by working together with ILTER information managers, we enhanced our technical level and got well benefits from the activities. In addition, the monitoring data we collected including the sound of frogs and birds, Castanopsis formosana images. We also compared the results of the traditional investigation data and sensor network collected data on frogs, the result showed these two way on data collection were very similar. Moreover, the study results can provide authentic information for environmental protection, monitoring, and policy making to improve the facilities in Shanping.
