Abstract
The two major content of acid deposition should be SO2 and NOx, which transport by suspended solid. Those air pollutant would affect not only people health but also forest ecosystem. This project would study the ion exchange between precipitation and forest ecosystem, to understand the functions of forest ecosystem on air pollution. Bulk precipitation, throughfall, soil solution, and streamwater were colleted to anlyze pH, total alkalinity, conductivity, sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, ammonium, fluoride, chloride, sulfate, and nitrate to study forest ecosystem effects on air pollutants in Wenshan Forest, Taipei. Those science database will give good informations to the government about the buffer capacity of forest ecosystem on air pollutants.
