Abstract
There are many indigenous plants having the ornamental potential, such as Lycopodium phlegmaria L, Chionanthus retusus Lindl.&Paxt and Iris formosana Ohwi. In this program, we try to focus on these three kinds of plants. Lycopodium phlegmaria L and Iris formosana Ohwi have much ornamental potential, but both are rare in quantity. Chionanthus retusus Lindl.&Paxt a small delicate ornament plant, we try to probe into its flowering mechanism to meet future need for flowering period adjustment in this industry. Besides, the culture condition for production of Wasabia japonica is under investigation in this program.
