11 commercial varieties of Nageia nagi (Thunb.)O. Ktze. were collected and 121 plants were cultivated in green house. The growth characteristics were investigated once per month in order to amend the drafts of test guideline and table of characteristics following the observations. The study of seasonal timing on 45 selected plants will be finished by the end of this year. All constructions of isolated test field facilities in this year's plan (including set up of water supply/storage system, the wire-mesh fence, the green fence, and the last phase of office reconstructions) were completed.
