Abstract
There are 4 native species of genus Cypredium (Orchidaceae) in Taiwan. Those orchids are generally called slipper orchids and under overcollection in the past. This study aims to investigate island wide distribution of this genus, to set plots for some populations, and to tag individuals for long term monitoring. Furthermore, seeds are collected for in vitro seed germination and assessments of storage characteristics. The result could be applied on species restoration in the future. Furthermore, a specialized team on ochid conservation could be organised, and more information on this rare taxa would be provided.
