Abstract
The aim of this project is to update and expand the content of Taiwan Invasive Alien Species Database (TIASD) by information provided by experts and literature so that various users can access accurate and authoritative information on invasive alien species (IAS) through internet. According to the interviewed scholars and experts,there are at least 206 invasive species in Taiwan. Information of 100 alien invasive species was collected and databased last year, and information of the rest 106 species is expected to be collected in 2011 and 2012. In addition, we plan to complete an English version of “Taiwan Alien and Invasive Species Database” so that foreign users can access relevant information.
