Abstract
There are many indigenous plants having the ornamental potential, such as Lycopodium phlegmaria L, Chionanthus retusus Lindl.＆Paxt and Iris formosana Ohwi. In this program, we try to focus on these three kinds of plants. Lycopodium phlegmaria L and Iris formosana Ohwi have much ornamental potential, but both are rare in quantity. Avoiding large amount field collection leading specie decline and extinguishment after promotion, we try to probe into the in vitro mass propagation method of these two plants to meet the future nursery need. To make Chionanthus retusus Lindl.＆Paxt a small delicate ornament plant, we try to probe into its flowering mechanism to meet future need for flowering period adjustment in this industry.
