Abstract
The purpose of this project is to analyze carbon sequestration capability of the reforestation initiatives in recent years, and estimation of stand carbon sinks, to supply the carbon information of different tree species and the basis of carbon credit. A viable model and evaluation criteria of domestic tree planting for carbon sequestration will be established. And design of baseline and monitoring plans for the domestic multi-storied forest, plains forest and agricultural land forest, to develop the project activity of tree planting for carbon sequestration. Choice one area for empirical analyze by using evaluation criteria of domestic tree planting for carbon sequestration and carbon standards. We hope through the implementation of this study in order to complete the project activity related to tree planting for carbon sequestration in capacity building. In addition, consumption situation of woody materials and consumption flow of wood products in Taiwan will be analyzed, to become the basis of wood-based industry while establishing marketing strategy, and reduce the waste of wood resource, and enhance the efficiency of wood utilization. Through the entire wood market survey, we will understand the quantity and end flow of woody waste.
