The ever and fast evolving on telecommunication and information technologies greatly reduce the threshold and cost of collecting huge amount of real-time data from environmental sensor networks. The research group in forest protection division studied the feasibility of deploying mobile device with meteorological and soil sensors for real-time forest environment monitoring. This study will be extended to urban environment for monitoring urban trees health and their growth environment.
