Utilization and cultural preservation of edible and medicine mushrooms

There are many edible and medicine mushrooms in Taiwan forests, such as Antrodia cinnamomea, Cordyceps spp., Tuber spp., Grifola frondosa, Lentinula edobes and jelly fungi, that have highly economic values. It is necessary to carry out the investigation of the fungal resources, the research of utilization and the techniques of cultivation, especially for the species of unique (eg. Antrodia cinnamomea and some species of Cordyceps) and highly economic values (eg. tuber). The current researches focus on (1) to collect, culture and preserve some edible and medicine mushrooms, especially tuber, Cordyceps spp., Antrodia cinnamomea and Grifola frondosa. (2) to develop the cultivation techniques of these mushrooms.
