There are two centers under the Forest Health Management ＆ Arboricultural medication of COA in Taiwan. One is responsible for administration work by Forestry Burean. While the other provides technical professional knowledge by TFRI. The Diagnosis and Information Center for Trees Diseases and Pests is one of two main information centers of trees diseases which are divided from Council of Agriculture. Trees Disease and Pests Control, Planning and Prevention Center is managed by Forest Bureau; the Diagnosis and Information Center for Trees Diseases and Pests is managed by Taiwan Forest Research Institute. These information centers establish systems of disease information, identification, consultation and supervision, and combine with administrative sources to accelerate managements of disease control thus to reduce the loss in forests and forestry industry due to diseases and pests and focusing on raising public awareness on this subject matter. The Diagnosis and Information Center for Trees Diseases and Pests mainly provides trees diseases and pests supervision service and is open to the publics for diseases diagnosis and consultation to keep forest healthy. This website is not only public service of disease information but a connection between the publics and different government ministries to accelerate update of disease information and preserve nature ecology.
