Accounting and Statistics Office
Functions of the Accounting and Statistics Office
  1. Drawing up budget proposals, budgets, and funding allocations for the Institute.
  2. Budget control, monitoring budget spending and expenses.
  3. Monitoring and control of additional project funds and commission expenditure.
  4. Generating public accounts, journal transfer vouchers and payment vouchers.
  5. Producing monthly reports for all projects.
  6. Producing annual accounts.
  7. Monitoring of annual budget surpluses, making budget surplus allocation requests and allocating surplus funds.
  8. Liaising with the Legislative Yuan and supplying copies of all documents for auditing of budgets.

  5. Assessing staff records and achievements to ensure the quality of work
  6. Orientation and training
  7. Staff visas.
  8. Managing staff attendance, performance and negligence of duties
  9. Staff benefits, bonuses, various living/subsistence allowances (marriage, deceased, birth, children’s education subsidies)
  10. Fringe benefits and mutual assistance
  11. Governmental and health insurance
  12. Staff retiring, dismissal with severance pay, and indemnity
  13. Staff cultural and health activities, psychological health, assistance in the purchase of housing, gender equality cases, etc.
  14. Registration, maintenance and statistical calculation of personnel data, and transfer of data for retiring personnel; and compiling an address book

  16. Checking of certificates (employment, proof of military service, proof of taking leave)
