Abstract
In order to pursue the sustainable developments of ecosystems and farmlands, and comply with domestic organic planting trends, this project is to research the health management to the major diseases and pests of Camellia. At present, the domestic health managements to major diseases and pests of Camellia are refer to the control methods of tea trees, however, the types and periods of occurrence in the Camellia are not exactly the same, besides, there are many dozens of strains of C. oleifera and C. tenuifolia in Taiwam and showed various resistance, susceptibility and tolerance to diseases and pests. This research intends to establish the occurrence and control logbooks of through investigating pests and diseases, and to study and assess non-pesticide and safe chemical control managements for the major pests and diseases, and then establish an integrated control and health managements for Camellia. On the other hand, we plan to investigate the susceptibilities of domestic Camellia strains to the major disease, brown blight, to screen resistantand tolerant strains, to establish the rapid molecular detection technology of brown blight, and expect to strengthen the health managements and improve production and quality of oil-tea.
